God's love is unconditional. God will not give away love in accordance to our good deeds and service, so we do not serve others in hope of gaining special favor with God. We already have special favor just by being God's children.
We love through our words and deeds because we know the power of God's love. We believe that God's love brings about eternal life, abundant life, justice, and peace. We desire those things because we know they are good, so why would we not want to share this Good News with others? Through faith, God revealed that life, peace, and justice are possible and have the power to change the world. And we are blessed and called to be a part of that transforming work!
